THE LIFE I DIDN’T WANT BUT WAS BLESSED TO RECEIVE, 2019, Paperback, 90 pages

THE LIFE I DIDN’T WANT BUT WAS BLESSED TO RECEIVE

Ostensibly, a book of interviews of ordinary people the author came into contact with in her work in the health professions. All had a life plan and, as the interviews expose, that plan was sidelined and the result… which they didn’t want… after all was said and done… they were blessed to receive.

The author then reveals her own life story of ups and downs and detours and explains to us all that each up, each down, and each detour is exactly what we need in order to survive and grow as loving, caring human beings. Her deep faith shows through in an obvious, not preachy way, giving readers an opportunity to look at their own lives in a different way.

“Compassionate interviews of real people with real struggles and life lessons for all of us to learn, told in a raw, unsparing, “this is life and had better deal with it”, way. While the text is gentle, it isn’t flowery or literary… it speaks directly and sometimes harshly, just like life itself… no sugar coating. Not only will it remind you why you have faith, and why you are fortunate to be where you are, it is exactly where you are supposed to be at this time, regardless of your wishes or desires.”
