This book introduces the reader to the new field of regenerative medicine: a multidisciplinary specialty that uses the body’s own repair mechanisms to functionally heal previously irreparable tissues or organs. The author first explains the mechanisms of regenerative therapy and the use of modalities like stem cells and platelet-rich plasma.
